Vampire Diaries season 6 returns on CW: Will Elena turn human and leave Damon and Mystic Falls forever?
The Vampire Diaries season 6 will return this week with episode 18 I Could Never Love Like That, after a brief hiatus and fans of the show are expecting some answers on how the show creators will end Elena's journey and her love for Damon Salvatore.
In the previous episode, Bonnie gifted the 'cure for vampirism' to the elder Salvatore when they returned from the prison world of 1903 and now it is his duty to use it on the right person.
However, the Salvatore vampire may play a dutiful son and elder brother and try to bring back Stefan to normalcy. Stefan has switched off his humanity along with Caroline and is wrecking havoc at the Whitmore college.
Damon's ripper mother Lily is back from the prison world and now she is the only one to accomplish the job. The true son may gift the cure for vampirism to her in order to save Mystic Falls and its people.
The official synopsis of episode 18 reads: "With their humanity turned off, Stefan and Caroline will begin wreaking havoc at Whitmore, leaving Damon to come up with a risky plan involving Lily. After rushing to help Jo treat victims of Stefan and Caroline's latest killing spree, Elena will discover Jo is pregnant, prompting her to reevaluate her own life as a vampire.
Meanwhile, when Sarah boldly turns the tables on an unsuspecting Enzo, he will be forced to open up about his tragic past. Lastly, at Scull Bar, a twisted round of karaoke is going to leave Tyler and Matt in a dangerous situation."
As per the synopsis, the Gilbert daughter will rethink about her life as a vampire after she learns that Jo is pregnant. Does this mean that Elena will accept the cure for vampirism and become a human all over again and leave Mystic Falls and her vampire friends forever in order to live a life of normalcy?
This only sounds logical, as Nina Dobrev has announced her exit from CW's popular supernatural show after the season 6 finale and there cannot be a better ending than this.
In any case, this sounds like the end of Delena the fan favourite couple, whose romantic moments were a major reason for the show's viewership rating. But fans can treat their eyes to some nice romantic moments between the two in the upcoming episode.
Some fans suspect that Julie Plec will let the heroine of her show die in the finale which seems far from possible especially after the show creator's tweet.
