Vampire Diaries season 7 episode 3 live online: Damon and Bonnie to fight back against Lily

Vampire Diaries season 7 is doing everything in order to fill the void created by Elena's deep slumber. Lily is playing a wicked game against her sons Damon and Stefan by kidnapping their respective lovers, the sleeping Elena and Caroline. But instead of bowing down to her insensitive demands, the Salvatore brothers decide to fight back by capturing one of the heretics and striking a deal with their evil mother.

The series takes a three-year leap in episode 3 and will show Caroline engaged but not to the younger Salvatore brother. However, chances are still high that the couple will reunite in the upcoming episodes.

"There are definitely some curveballs this season, both for Caroline and Stefan," Candice King (Caroline) told Just Jared Jr. "And I'm sure there's been a lot of speculation about whether it's a curveball particular to their relationship, but Stefan's the one batting that curveball. Caroline's trying to figure out a way to support him through some...he's learning a lot with his mother being back in town. There's a lot of family history that's coming up for him and his past."

The elder Salvatore brother will embark on a journey along with Bonnie to find the six heretics and negotiate with his mother Lily. The Bennett witch, meanwhile, will show her strongest side by fighting the heretics.

"You're going to see [Bonnie and Damon] team up. You're going to see them fight. You're going to see a lot of stuff. It's a really intense season, especially with Elena being gone there's just so much action," Kat Graham told Bustle.

The synopsis of episode 3 titled Age Of Innocence reads: In the aftermath of a clever plan orchestrated by Lily (Annie Wersching), Damon (Ian Somerhalder) sets off on a road trip with Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Alaric (Matt Davis) in search of leverage they can use against his mother. Meanwhile, Caroline (Candice King), who is being held hostage by the Heretics, learns some shocking information about Valerie's past, while Stefan (Paul Wesley) learns a few unexpected details about his own past from Lily. Finally, Alaric turns to Bonnie for her help after coming clean about a secret he's been keeping."
