Hip Hop Honors returns to VH1 after a break of six years on Monday, 11 July.
Music lovers have every reason to be excited as VH1 returns with its popular award show Hip Hop Honors tonight after a six-year hiatus. The programme is set to celebrate trendsetters and first ladies of hip hop, who have made their voices heard in mainstream musical genres.

Hosted by Eve, Hip Hop Honors will celebrate the musical journey of Queen Latifah with a tribute performance. The artists, who are set to take to the stage for the VH1 show include Fat Joe, Naughty by Nature, and Remy Ma.
Messy Elliot, 45, will also be honoured during Monday's show for her award-winning contributions in the hip hop music genre. Apart from her, hip hop trio Salt-N-Pepa featuring DJ Spinderella, and Lil' Kim will also be celebrated for their musical influence over the years.
First Lady Michelle Obama will make a special appearance on the VH1 show tonight joined by other top names of the industry such as Mary J Blige, Common, LL Cool J, Pharrell, Amber Rose, Kelly Rowland and Betty White.
Ahead of Monday's show, Love & Hip Hop stars lauded the music queens for not just their hit singles, but also for spreading "black love," and influencing the culture with their innovative videos and songwriting skills.
