Victoria Line closed after WWII explosive found

Victoria station has been evacuated after a Second World War bomb at a nearby building site in Terminus Place was unearthed, prompting a security alert. The Victoria Line was closed as a result and a police cordon is in place near the station's entrance.
Thousands of commuters poured out of the station – one of London's busiest – as armed officers swarmed the area. A Met Police spokesperson has since confirmed officers have been stood down.
As well as the Underground, the station also serves National Rail services and Terminus Place is also a bus depot for Transport for London services.
