Vin Diesel performs extreme stunts as Deepika Padukone flaunts her skills in new Xander Cage trailer

The first official trailer of xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage promises extreme action and stunts that have never been seen before, where Vin Diesel will reprise the role of Xander Cage in the third instalment of the popular franchise. The 49-year-old actor makes a note-worthy entry as he glides through mountains, packs a punch, and fights against his adversary.

"You know they say, the world is safer than it has ever been in the history of civilisation," Samuel L Jackson, who is back to play the role of NSA Agent Augustus Eugene Gibbons, says in the trailer.

"Do you feel safer today, than you felt yesterday?" Agent Gibbons asks, setting the tone for the action adventure.

In the new movie, Xander will be back from a self-imposed exile, but the extreme athlete-cum-government operative has a mission this time.

He will become part of a crew whose ultimate aim will be to take down the deadly warrior Xiang Yen (played by Donnie Yen) and his henchmen.

"We need people with the skills, and the attitude to take on threats that we don't even know exists," says one of the recruiter.

While Diesel played Xander puts on his action armour back to find the fatal weapon known as Pandora's Box, he is set to uncover some world-class conspiracies.

Amid the high-flying stunts, including skiing and underwater bike scenes, the Xander Cage movie seems to add lustre with two gun-wielding actresses – Deepika Padukone and Ruby Rose. While Padukone plays the character of Serena Unger, Rose will be seen in the role of Adele Wolff. Another star who joins the star-studded cast is Nina Dobrev – as the bespectacled Rebecca "Becky".

Setting the final tone of the trailer, Rose adds, "Guns, girls, global domination – Xander Cage is back." xXx: The Return of Xander Cage hits theatres on 20 January 2017.
