West Indies host England in the first of the three match ODI series at Antigua on Friday, with both teams looking to gain some much-needed confidence ahead of the T20 World Cup in March.

Where to Watch live

Play is scheduled to start at 1:30pm GMT. Live coverage will be available on Sky Sports 2 and Sky Sports 2 HD.

Overview

West Indies have had to suffer some humiliating defeats away to India and will be looking to make amends against a bruised England side, who were annihilated by Australia in the recently concluded Ashes series.

The Caribbean side managed to perform better in the shorter version against the Kiwis and will be looking to build up a momentum ahead of the World Championships.

The hosts will be without Chris Gayle who is out with a back injury but have a host of attacking players at the top of the order with Dwayne Bravo, Marlon Samuels and Kieran Pollard capable of pulling apart any bowling line-up.

The likes of Sunil Narine in the bowling line-up will add some variety to their attack, which has failed to fail more often than not in the recently concluded series against the Kiwis.

Meanwhile, England come into the fixture with a host of problems to sort out, not least the recent feud against Kevin Pieterson, which saw the former captain being shown the door by the board.

This will be an opportunity for the visitors to shy away from their past miseries and instil some much-needed confidence into the squad. Their demise against Australia has sapped everything out of the visitors, who were in buoyant mood ahead of the visit, having secured the Ashes in England six months back.
