WhatsApp voice calling
WhatsApp beta app rolls out voice calling to Windows Phones Reuters

Having been officially available for Android, iOS and BlackBerry users for quite some time, the beta version of the cross-platform messaging service with a calling feature seems to be finally making its way through Windows Phone devices. Not all will get this latest build, only those who are a part of WhatsApp Beta testing.

WhatsApp is reported to have been testing the calling feature for Windows Phone on several occasions earlier. But now WPXBOX has shared some screenshots corroborating the roll-out of the beta version noted as 2.12.38. Besides, several users has confirmed its availability.

Like Android, installing the beta version on a Windows Phone will bring a new Call Tab that keeps a track of the recent call history, including the incoming, outgoing and missed calls.

The call feature does not get enabled by just making a call, Windows Phone users need to be on the latest beta build. Currently, the voice calling seems to be working fine and seems quite stable.

With the beta version being available, it should not take too long for the official roll-out for Windows Phone.
