And the hosts for this year's Miss Universe are...
American comedian Steve Harvey (also infamous for his 2015 gaffe, when he accidentally announced the wrong winner) will shoulder the hosting duties for 2017 alongside Ashley Graham. The plus-size model, just like Harvey, too has become a show staple, covering all the action backstage.
Who will be judging the 65th international pageant?
Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach heads the judges panel for 2017 along with Wendy Fitzwilliam, Miss Universe Trinidad & Tobago in 1998.
Joining the two are distinct and famous names such as America's Next Top Model's former judge Jay Manuel, Vine and YouTube star Lele Pons, Ross Matthews, and Megan Olivi.
Asides the star-studded line-up for judges, Fergie and Rachel Platten are set to perform at the annual gala.
Contestants to look out for
While every contestant has scaled the rounds so far with a display of their talents and skills, watch out for USA's Kara McCullough (Washington DC), Anna Burdzy from England and the first contestant from Iraq in the past 45 years, Sarah Idan.
