Where to watch Victoria's Secret fashion show live in the UK, $2m fantasy bra and all the Angels
Supermodel Karlie Kloss is back on the runway after a two-year break.
Shanghai's Mercedes-Benz Arena has transformed into the world's hottest runway as the 2017 Victoria's Secret Fashion show lands in China this year. This means, it's the season of angels and wings — when select models showcase some of the most expensive and exorbitant lingerie on the ramp.
While A-listers like Adriana Lima, Bella Hadid, Stella Maxwell and Liu Wen, decked in bespoke designs are reason enough to tune in, the 2017 VS fashion show also lists must-not-miss performances by Harry Styles and others.
Most importantly, watch out for the 600 carat Champagne Nights Fantasy Bra, encrusted with diamonds, yellow sapphires, and blue topaz, set to be unveiled on the runway by Brazilian model Lais Ribeiro.
Here's everything you need to know ahead of the 2017 Victoria's Secret Fashion show:
When is the show and where to watch it live online
Hosted in Shanghai, China, the annual lingerie show took place at the financial hub of the country on 20 November. However, for TV viewers in the US, the televised iteration is set to air on Tuesday, 28 November at 10pm EST on CBS. Click here to watch it on the official CBS website or stream on Hulu Live.
As for those waiting for the coveted fashion show in the UK and Ireland, tune in to the HayU app from 29 November onwards to live stream the event.
Candice Swanepoel is back
Victoria's Secret angel Candice Swanepoel is back on the international runway after welcoming her son Ancan almost a year ago.
And to mark her return at the Shanghai gala, the South African model rocked a black and red plaid-inspired look. Designed by Olivier Rousteing of Balmain — this is also the first year the lingerie brand has collaborated with the designer — the outfit also features elaborate winged accessories.
Asides Balmain, this year Victoria's Secret has also teamed up with Brian Atwood, who designed all of the shows for the angels.
What about the other angels and newcomers?
Every year, the Victoria's Secret runway features a mix of seasoned models, the show's staple angels and some fresh faces, and this year will be no different.
Besides Swanepoel, A-lister models including Alessandra Ambrosio, Lily Aldridge, Elsa Hosk, Josephine Skriver, Martha Hunt, Sara Sampaio, Taylor Hill and Jasmine Tookes will be in action, donning their angel wings and exclusive lingerie sets.
Since the much-anticipated fashion gala is taking place in China, expect a number of Asian talents as well. He Sui, Ming Xi, Ju Xiaowen, Xie Xin, Wang Yi and Estelle Chen join the 55-member strong VS cast alongside show regular Liu Wen.
Other newcomers include Grace Bol and Victoria Lee.
Supermodel Karlie Kloss is also back on the runway after a two-year break and walks for themed-sections "Punk Angels" and "Winter's Tale".
Harry Styles heads the entertainment department for the evening...
Last year the models and a packed audience were kept on their toes by The Weeknd, Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga, who belted out one hit after another. Heading the musical department for 2017 is the former One Direction singer along with Miguel, Jane Zhang and Leslie Odom Jr.
While grooving to the tunes of the performers, also keep an eye on Styles' suited looks in black and mint green.
What are the themes for this year's Victoria's Secret gala
The popular VS Pink section is called Millennial Nation this year. There will be five other themes — Punk Angel, Goddesses, Winter's Tale, Porcelain Angel and Nomadic Angels — each featuring a unique look and feel as the VS models walk down the ramp.
And last but not the least – the fantasy bra!
Designed exclusively by jeweller Mouawad, the Champagne Nights Fantasy Bra is the bling to watch this year and is worth $2m (£1.5m). It took nearly 350 hours to complete the intricate design featuring over 6,000 precious gemstones and diamonds, yellow sapphires and blue topaz.
And the honour to model the fantasy bra has been bestowed on runway vet Ribeiro – who has walked five times before for the luxury brand.
