WWE: Jim Ross picks opponent for Brock Lesnar dream fight
The Beast Incarnate will be defending the Universal Championship at Great Balls of Fire.
Brock Lesnar is the current WWE Universal champion. He won the title from Goldberg at WrestleMania 33 in April.
After winning the championship, the Beast Incarnate went on a hiatus, but he will be returning to defend his title at the Great Balls of Fire against Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Bray Wyatt, Samoa Joe or Roman Reigns.
However, Jim Ross feels that not one of the aforementioned stars could put up a dream match with Lesnar. The former WWE announcer and Hall of Famer, in an interview with the AV Club, was asked who he would like to see square off against Lesnar in a dream match. Ross said "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Shaun Michaels and The Rock coming back for one more fight was out of the question as these wrestlers were already retired.
"[Steve Austin] is not happening. Shawn Michaels is out of the question. Stone Cold is out of the question. I think The Rock is probably out of the equation," he told the host of the show.
When asked if The People's Champion will come back for another match, he said, "If he runs for president [The Rock] he may comeback for one more match to reconnect with the audience."
When asked if a match between the Brahma Bull and US President Donald Trump was possible, he just said, "Oh God."
Ross then revealed his dream fight for Lesnar. "I'm a different cat though, man. I'd like to see Braun Strowman – in a big build-up – against Lesnar. I think that'd be a nice car crash," he said.
