WWE Raw results: Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens vs New Day vs Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins for tag team title

Raw Tag Team champion New Day made WWE history on the latest episode of Raw, which aired from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 12 December. The New Day became the longest-reigning tag team champions as they defeated Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens, and Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins in the main fight.

But before the New Day fought Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens, and Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, Big E and Kofi Kingston defended their title against the Club, Cesaro and Sheamus.

Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods were ecstatic backstage as they celebrated their achievement after their victory over the Club, Cesaro and Sheamus. The New Day was joined by Stephanie McMahon but the mood turned sour when Woods accidentally sprayed Stephanie with champagne.

When Kevin Owens learned about the incident, he approached Stephanie and told her that it was disrespectful of the New Day and that they do not deserve to be champions. Owens then told Stephanie that he had an idea to punish the champions. Stephanie was all ears.

During the middle of the show, Seth Rollins entered the ring for the Rollins report and once again challenged Triple H. But to fight the Hunter, Rollins pointed out that he first had to go through Owens but wondered if Chris Jericho would help if he fought the Universal champion.

Next, Rollins introduced his guest Owens, who kept his distance outside the ring. Rollins mocked Owens and asked if the latter could make it inside the ring without the help of Y2J. Owens said he had come to make an announcement and was not interested in Rollins report. Rollins then asked Owens as to how his friendship with Jericho was.

As Owens started with his announcement, Rollins interrupted the former. Owens told Rollins that he and Jericho will have each other's back next week. Owens then threatened to break Rollins' face if the latter interrupted the former again.

Next, Jericho entered the ring and Owens told the former that they have an opportunity to become the new tag team champion by defeating the New Day. But Jericho wondered if Owens was crazy to think the former would team up with the latter. Owens then said Jericho should forget about the past and think about the future.

Rollins then tried to drive a wedge between Owens and Jericho and called them "Stupid Idiot". Owens and Jericho then entered the ring and attacked Rollins. As Rollins was getting thrashed, Roman Reigns entered the ring and attacked Owens but was double teamed. Reigns swiftly recovered from the attack and then he and Rollins teamed up on Owens and Jericho. Rollins almost carried out the Pedigree on Jericho but Owens dragged Jericho out of the ring.

Strowman defeated Axel with a Face Eraser.

Ariya Daivari vs Lince Dorado

Ariya Daivari won via disqualification.

Brian Kendrick vs TJ Perkins

Kendrick defeated Perkins with Sliced Bread #2.

Alicia Fox vs Bayley

Bayley defeated Fox with the Bayley-to-Belly.

Sami Zayn defeated Jinder Mahal
