WWE: The Undertaker's rumoured Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 33 plans
The Deadman made his WWE return on the 900th episode of SmackDown Live.
Rumour mills are in overdrive as to who The Undertaker might square off with at WrestleMania 33, which takes place at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida on 2 April 2017. If rumours are to be believed then the Deadman, whose real name is Mark William Calaway, could fight Bill Goldberg or John Cena at the pay-per-view event (PPV).
However, according to SportsKeeda, the chance of the 51-year-old wrestler squaring off with Goldberg at the PPV is nil. The sports news website has also pointed out that Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer has said that the original plans for The Undertaker at the PPV event has not unchanged.
According to the report, there are also rumours that The Undertaker, who made his WWE return on the 900th episode of SmackDown Live, could challenge AJ Styles for the WWE World Championship at the Royal Rumble.
If The Undertaker wins the match against Styles then he could fight Cena at WrestleMania 33 but lose the title to the latter and in the process make Cena 16-time WWE world champion, it reported. Cena is currently on hiatus from wrestling and is filming the second season of American Grit.
Goldberg has an on-going feud with Brock Lesnar as the former defeated the latter under 90 seconds at the Survivor Series. WWE universe will see Goldberg and Lesnar face off at the 30-man over-the-top match at Royal Rumble on 24 January.
