Xiaomi 9.2in Tablet with 64-bit Snapdragon 410 Processor Leaked via GFXBench
It looks like Xiaomi is planning to expand its tablet lineup as a benchmark database has listed a tablet the Chinese company is working on.
According to a recent press release shared by IDC for the global smartphone shipments, Xiaomi has positioned itself as the third largest smartphone manufacturer in the third quarter of 2014 with Samsung and Apple being in the first and second place respectively.
The data shows Xiaomi's growth over Q3 2014 accounted to 211.3%, with 17.3% million smartphone shipments in the third quarter, against the 5.6% shipment in Q3 last year.
After a strong foothold in the smartphone market, the Chinese manufacturer is planning to expand its tablet market.
A new device carrying model number Xiaomi 2014811 has appeared at GFXBench site via GSMArena. According to the listing, the tablet features a 9.2in screen with resolution measuring 1280 x 720 pixels.
It uses a 64-bit Snapdragon 410 (ARMv7) with a quad-core processor running with clock speeds up to 1.2GHz and an Adreno 306 graphics unit on board.
The operating system as noted in the list is to be Android 4.4.4 KitKat. Other key elements include 1GB RAM and an 8GB built-in storage space out of which 5.8GB will be for the user. There is mention of a rear-camera and a front camera, without any details about the resolution, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, SIM card, which means the tablet will offer mobile data connectivity.
