Xperia Z4 to use 5.2in full HD screen, Snapdragon 805 and 3GB RAM, suggests internal document
Technical specifications of the Xperia Z4 have surfaced in a new leak, which are contrary to the previous versions.
PhoneArena has received tips from an unidentified Sony insider a few screenshots from what is said to be an internal presentation about the Xperia Z4. The screenshots are reportedly from computers in a Sony lab.
This is a similar source that has previously provided iPhone 6 schematics and a few other leaks.
Based on the listing in the presentation, the Xperia Z4 packs a 5.2in 1080p full HD display, as opposed to the previous rumour which claimed it to be a 5.4in Quad HD Triluminos or a 5.5in variant.
If the current leaks turn out true, then we might get to see the Xperia Z4 having a similar screen size like its predecessor, Xperia Z3. But a Quad HD screen is still in contention.
The source further asserts the smartphone will use the Snapdragon 810 chip, whereas the listing notes the 2.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, which powers Samsung's new Galaxy Note.
There is doubt over the use of the Snapdragon 810, considering Sony's CES launch is less than a month from now, where the Xperia Z4 is expected to be launched.
Besides, there is mention of 3GB RAM (TBD), LTE Cat. 6, and 16/32GB storage. The smartphone weighs 140g, which makes it lighter than the Xperia Z3. The battery spelling in the document is wrong, which may be ignored as the internal documents are usually riddled with typos.
