Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens a couple again? Baywatch star makes 'sappy calls' to actress

Not long back, there was news that Baywatch star Zac Efron had reportedly split from his model girlfriend Sami Miro citing work and long-distance reasons. Now, it seems the 28-year-old actor doesn't want to be all that lonely after all. If rumours are to be believed, the High School Musical actor has been making secret calls to his HSM co-star and former girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens, much to the dismay of Austin Butler, her current boyfriend.

According to a report in Hollywood Life, Efron has been making "sappy phone calls" to his ex girlfriend. This clearly hasn't gone down well with 24-year-old Butler, whom 27-year-old Hudgens is dating currently.

Efron and Hudgens had first met on the sets of High School Musical, a Disney original, and had been dating since then. However, after completing five hopefully happy years together, the couple split in 2010.

Whether or not the Spring Breakers actress entertained Efron's calls, Hudgens still seems to be sour from the break-up with Efron. A source told the website: "Vanessa still has a lot of animosity towards Zac. He treated her like crap at the end of their relationship."

In addition, the actress/ singer also seems to be going pretty strong with her actor beau Butler. "She and Austin are solid, but letting Zac back in her world would be playing with fire — he was her first big love," the source claimed.

Indeed, Disney fans would be happy to see their favourite HSM pair reunite in real life but considering Hudgens's "animosity" towards Efron, "Zanessa" seems to be a far-fetched dream. The Dirty Grandpa actor recently became single after breaking up with girlfriend Miro and is currently shooting for the movie remake of popular show Baywatch.
