Amir Khan mocked by I'm A Celeb fans for not knowing what a Bushtucker Trial is
The British boxer has had a testing year in his personal life, but has signed up to this year's series anyhow.
He's endured a tumultuous year with family feuding and a marriage split from Faryal Makhdoom, and although Amir Khan appears to have patched things up with his wife for now, he's in for another rough ride before 2017 ends.
The 30-year-old British boxer is set to star on this year's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!, and judging by his lack of knowledge about the show, it'll undoubtedly be TV gold.
The ITV show has offered a first look inside this year's camp and some surprising revelations from the campmates-to-be.
Khan – who recently reunited with cosmetics mogul Makhdoom after a three-month separation – revealed he doesn't even know what a Bushtucker Trial is.
When asked about the upcoming challenges, he said: "I've never heard of that, What's that? Bushtucker Trials? What is that?"
Fans have already reacted to the gaffe, with one person tweeting: "Amir Khan going on #imaceleb without even knowing what a bushtucker trial is. Not for the first time in his career the fella won't know what's hit him".
Another said: "I take it Amir khan will be doing every bushtucker trial #ImACeleb".
Meanwhile, fellow future contestant Georgia Toffolo from Made in Chelsea isn't keen on the jungle menu.
Revealing what she will miss the most on her plate, she said: "I will miss the most food wise, Beef Wellington, it's my favourite thing in the world, also I really like six-inch tuna Subway."
YouTube star Jack Maynard is equally unimpressed with what the campmates may be forced to chow down, adding: "I've never eaten testicle, I've never eaten penis, I've never eaten anus, I'm not even sure how you can eat anus but the thought of doing that, no it's not exciting actually it's just rubbish, I'm not going to enjoy it."
The show, which kicks off this Sunday 19 November at 9pm on ITV and is hosted by Ant and Dec, will run for three weeks, with daily eliminations starting from the first week.
Other stars in the line-up include are Boris Johnson's father Stanley Johnson, former footballer Dennis Wise, Saturdays singer Vanessa White, Rebekah Vardy, Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas, Corrie star Jennie McAlpine and comic Shappi Khorsandi.
