Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds welcome first child: Couple to name baby Excalibur Anaconda Reynolds?
Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds and American actress/model Blake Lively have reportedly welcomed their first child.
According to a report in Page Six, the 27-year-old former Gossip Girl star gave birth to the couple's baby near their home in Bedford, New York, just before the New Year.
"The baby came early but everyone is happy and healthy. The Bedford house is all prepared. They're going to stay up there for the baby's first days," a source told Us Weekly.
The couple, who have always stayed tight lipped about their relationship, started dating while filming the Green Lantern in 2011. The two got married in a private ceremony the following year.
TheSisterhood of the Traveling Pants actress announced her pregnancy last year in October via her lifestyle website Preserve.
At that time, she posted an image taken by her brother, Eric Lively, in which she is seen cradling her very visible baby bump.
Around the same time, Reynolds joked about possible baby names.
"On the plane over here I was trying to think of baby names. I don't want a name that's anything pretentious or, like, Hollywood-y," he told eTalk (via Access Hollywood). "So I'm going with Excalibur Anaconda Reynolds … that's if it's a girl."
In the August 2014 issue of Vogue, Blake gushed about the R.I.P.D. actor.
"He's going to be a great father and leader and patriarch—he's so meant to be all of those things. The fact that he lived so much before we got together, he's the exact realized person that he should be. And so I get to share my life with the person he's become, and we get to grow from there," she told to the magazine.
