Calvin Harris and Taylor Swift planning marriage? Scottish DJ may seek approval from singer's father
Scottish singer/DJ Calvin Harris is getting serious about his relationship with American singer/songwriter Taylor Swift. The music producer is considering to approach the Red hitmaker's father to seek his blessings and approval for their marriage.
"[Taylor's] not shy about telling anyone who'll listen that she loves him, and she's not being coy around him either; at a recent dinner, she blurted it out and asked him if he'd ever consider marrying her," a source told OK! magazine.
"Calvin found it 'adorable.' Now he wants to do it all properly, he's even going to ask her dad for his approval," the insider added.
Speculation that Rita Ora's former boyfriend and the Red hitmaker are romantically involved started in March, when the two were pictured shopping in Nashville, dressed similarly. The couple made their relationship public when Swift kissed Harris during the Billboard Music Awards 2015, held at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas on 17 May. In June, Swift and Harris were announced as Forbes magazine's highest-paid celebrity couple of 2015.
Meanwhile, the report suggest that Harris was looking forward to starting a family with Swift "very soon". The source said: "He'd like to have at least three children."
During an interview with Glamour UK magazine, the 25-year-old Shake It Off singer had admitted that she does not find it easy having a boyfriend. She said: "There is no easy way for me to engage with romance. I'm really busy, so I can't. And it's a good thing that I feel really independent and I feel that my friends are all I need."
"It's kind of a sad way I got there, though, being shamed into it. What else is it when you have two boyfriends in one year and everyone's calling you boy crazy, making jokes about you at awards shows? That's public humiliation. And I don't think its fair," Swift added.
