Cannes 2015: Kendall Jenner takes centre stage at Youth premiere
While lately it's been all about Bruce, tonight all eyes were on his daughter Kendall Jenner, as she took centre stage on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival.
The 19-year-old model had the photographers in raptures as she made a dramatic entrance at the screening of Youth on Wednesday (20 May) evening at the Grand Theatre Lumiere at the Palais des Festivals.
Wearing an Azzedine Alaia black crop top and ball skirt, in a show of confidence the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star twirled and spun around, displaying the chic ensemble from every angle.
With a mesh overlay and transparent edging, the cropped top made the most of her perfectly toned torso, baring just a hint of cleavage.
With jewellery from Chopard, the statuesque model complemented her outfit with a chic up-do adding a splash of Hollywood glamour with a bold, red lipstick.
Her second appearance at Cannes was a triumph and the reality star was eager to share her experience with fans on social media.
Posting a photo of herself in front of a wall of photographers she wrote: "I had fun #Cannes."
Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner couldn't contain her pride on seeing her daughter's stunning arrival on the Rivieria. Writing on Twitter Kris said: "GORGEOUS!!! #proudmama"
The stars of Youth, Jane Fonda, Rachel Weisz, Michael Caine and Harvey Keitel also took their place on the red carpet for the screening of the film which is in contention for the coveted Palme d'Or prize.
Its the first time Caine has visited the festival in 50 years. Speaking after a screening of the film, he said: "I came to Cannes 50 years ago with a movie called 'Alfie' and 'Alfie' won a prize and I didn't. So I never came back. I thought 'I'm not going all that way for nothing' But this time I love this film so much I'd go with it anywhere for nothing."
British actress Weisz, 45, garnered a mixed reaction to her gown, a turquoise green satin dress, with full sleeves, and a flowing A line skirt with a long train.
Showing them how it's done was co-star and movie veteran Jane Fonda, 77, who defied her years in a black gown with a pink sash embellishment.
Exuding natural confidence and professionalism, Fonda showed off her figure in the fitted gown as she posed for photographers.
The screening attracted a host of stars from the worlds of movies, TV and fashion.
Newlyweds Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder who tied the knot in April, posed on the red carpet together. The Twilight actress looked striking in full-length midnight blue frock with a flowing cape.
The fashion industry was well-represented with Karlie Kloss, Joan Smalls, Chanel Iman and Petra Nemcova putting their most glamorous foot forward for the high profile event.
Meanwhile, stealing the spotlight yet again was Bollywood star and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The actress, whose arrival on the red carpet is always hotly anticipated, made a spectacular style statement in a ruffled, white Ralph & Russo gown with a black flower motif.
It was the latest in a series of show-stopping appearances for the actress, who attended the festival for the fourteenth time as an ambassador for L'Oreal and to present the first look of her forthcoming film Jazbaa by Indian director Sanjay Gupta.
Earlier Aishwarya took over the L'Oreal Paris official Twitter account, giving a snapshot of a typical day in Cannes. The hastag #AishwaryaTakesOver was trending worldwide as she interacted with fans and posted videos and photos from behind the scenes on the Riviera.
Taking a walk on the croisette and stopping off for ice cream, the actress revealed she managed to take time out away from the glamour of the red carpet to enjoy the simple pleasures of a walk with her daughter and a spin on the merry-go-round.
After her Twitter takeover the actress signed off with a personal message to her fans saying: "I am who I am because of all of you. It's been a wonderful day in Cannes! Thank you for all the lovely memories! xxAsh"
The 68th Cannes Film Festival comes to a close on Sunday 24 May.
