Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran: Marques Houston receives death threat after liking Tran's racy Instagram snap
Chris Brown has found himself at the centre of another drama, after his friend threatened singer Marques Houston for flirting with the Loyal hitmaker's ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran. It all kicked off on social media when Tran flaunted her enviable curves with a revealing bikini shot on Instagram.
The snap prompted her Dinner With the Stankerchets co-star Marques Houston to leave a comment: "dizayum look at all that booty, can't even see your face cuz that booty in the way."
One of Brown's unimpressed friends then took it upon himself to post a photo of two guns in response with the comment, "N---as sho no how to disrespect, I don't care if they not still together." He ended the post, which has since been taken down, with a hashtag of Houston's initials.
Tran ended her five-year turbulent romance with Brown in March after she found out that he had fathered a baby girl with another woman, declaring she did not want "baby drama". But despite her single status she insists she and Houston are just friends.
"I'm bored and tried of this situation," Tran tells E! News in a statement. "I don't get it because I'm single."
"I thought we have all matured and moved on," she said. "Especially since Chris has been seen with multiple women since the breakup. I don't want anything to do with any type of violence or negativity."
Although Houston didn't directly address situation, he did share a cryptic tweet which read: "Funny how people turn nothing into something! #SMDH"
Meanwhile, Brown has uncharacteristically remained quiet. He previously had lots to say when he thought veteran model Tyson Beckford was making a move on his ex. The Loyal hitmaker got embroiled in a war of words Beckford on Memorial Day after he shared a selfie with Tran after they bumped into each other in Las Vegas.
The image captioned "Saturday with @Karrueche #vegas #palms #blasian" got Brown fired up and he jumped on Twitter to threaten the model and his 17-year-old son. "U wanna keep walking then runways. I need ta legs for that. Keep playing like I ain't wit the bullsh*t," he wrote. "I'm done all this internet talking blood. Be in vegas soon. Keep playing ima f*ck ya baby momma and then whoop yo childlike he mine."
Beckford fired back saying, "It's all about fun in Vegas, come thru papa." And then he posted a video of himself shooting a gun range, saying, "Just in case your forgot!" Brown later deleted the intimidating messages and issued a public apology.
