Game Of Throw-Ins: José Mourinho and Manchester United squad meet Samwell Tarly and Gendry
Stars of HBO series made an appearance at team's training during pre-season camp in Los Angeles
It looks like some of the biggest fans of Game Of Thrones are in the Manchester United football team. José Mourinho's boys couldn't have been happier when stars of the HBO series dropped by their pre-season training camp at UCLA over the weekend.
In pictures posted on the team's official twitter, John Bradley-West, who plays Samwell Tarly, and Joe Dempsie, whose character Gendry is set to return to the show this season, posed with the likes of Paul Pogba, David De Gea, Chris Smalling and Axel Tuanzebe.
Bradley-West declared his allegiances to THE Red Devils by donning an away shirt and was also given the chance to hold the Europa League trophy, which the Old Trafford side claimed last season.
Manager Mourinho, who a huge fan of the popular fantasy show, also couldn't resist the photo op and can be seen grinning from ear to ear with his arms around Bradley-West and Dempsie in one of the snaps.
The Special One took a break from whipping his team into shape ahead of the new season to host the celebrity guests.
Pogba was also seen having a chat with the pair about the about new series.
Former Last Chance Lottery host Patrick Kielty was also spotted at UCLA with his pal Mourinho and the pair were seen laughing after sharing a private joke. But the welcome distraction didn't last for long as Mourinho was soon was back dictating the drills for his players.
Their visit comes days after Conleth Hill and Iain Glen, known to GoT fans as Varys and Jorah Mormont, also dropped by for a visit and met new £75m signing Romelu Lukaku.
"We're both mad Man United fans and we're trying to be very cool!" Glen told MUTV. "It's fantastic to see the players and see our new player [Lukaku] train for the first time. There are a lot of United fans amongst our cast who are all very jealous we're here!"
Former Everton striker Lukaku, who was recently mistaken for Grime star Stormzy, revealed that he would be tuning in when the new series of Game Of Thrones returns to Sky Atlantic at 9pm on Monday 17 July.
