The 58th Grammy Awards may have had a few mishaps with no shows and stage problems but those who did show up looked fantastic.
Despite the issues, it came as no surprise that many people were channelling Bowie, with the likes of Lady Gaga going for full-on flame red hair and bejewelled costumes that the singer would have been proud of. The 1970s homage coursed across the red carpet with sequinned jumpsuit, flowing silks and embroidery in all directions.
No matter how hard you tried though, you could not escape thighs as they were everywhere, from subtle split details on Anna Kendrick and Josephine de la Baume to full on knicker-flashing and hip bone exposing turns by Taylor Swift and Ciara (whose barely there dress was true Grammys).
There were a few flashes of vibrant colour across the gowns but in general, the palette was subdued mixing ducky metallics and blush tones with a great deal of black with stars such as Meghan Trainor, Carrie Underwood and Adele opting for sultry lace gowns and classic corsetry.
