How to Boost Speed of Galaxy S5, Nexus 5 and HTC One M8
Google's latest Android KitKat software brings several notable changes along with the major performance improvements. This reflects very well through a number of high end Android powered smartphones such as Galaxy S5, HTC One M8, LG G3, Galaxy Note 3 and Nexus 5.
But those who wish their smartphones to deliver even faster speed can do so by enabling the Android Runtime (ART) of the device.
ART is a new Android runtime introduced with the Android 4.4. ART, which offers a number of features to improve app performance and debugging. ART replaces the Dalvik and works reasonably faster than Dalvik. Enabling the ART will offer a faster user interface.
Those who wish to achieve a faster speed on their devices via ART may follow an easy guide below.
Step-1: Navigate to Settings>>About
Step-2: From there go to Build Number section and tap it several times until you see Developer Options have been enabled
Step-3: You should now be able to enable ART. To do this, go to Developer Options under Settings and find Select Runtime
Step-4: Tap Select Runtime option
The phone should boot now. After the device boots up successfully, you should be able to enjoy its faster speed. The aforementioned method brings noticeable improvements, especially in terms of speed and battery life.
