Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin dating: Nicholas Hoult wants to win back Hunger Games star

Nicholas Hoult reportedly wants to rekindle his relationship with former girlfriend, Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence.

According to America's Star magazine, the 25-year-old British actor hopes he will win the 24-year-old Hunger Games star's heart again, even though she is dating Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

An insider revealed that Hoult is trying to get close with Lawrence, on the set of X-Men: Apocalypse in Canada.

"He's hoping that during filming, he'll win her heart again," a source said.

Lawrence and Hoult met during their screen test for X-Men: First Class, and began dating in 2011. However, the two briefly split in early 2013, rekindling their romance just four months later.

The X-Men: Days of Future Past co-stars split for the second time, last year in August and blamed their difficult schedules for the break-up.

It was previously reported that Lawrence assured Martin that she has completely moved on from Hoult.

Lawrence and Martin started spending time together since June last year. The two reportedly split in September, but were spotted together enjoying a dinner date at Kiwami Sushi in Studio City on New Year's Eve in 2014.

As earlier reported, Lawrence and Martin had split because of his estranged wife, Gwyneth Paltrow.

The Iron Man actress had announced that she was separating from her husband in March 2014, after being together for 10 years and bringing up two children named Apple and Moses.

However, the 41-year-old Shakespeare In Love actress recently admitted that she wished she had given a second chance to her marriage with Martin.

"There are times when I think it would have been better if we had stayed married, which is always what your children want. But we have been able to solidify this friendship, so that we're really close," she told Harper's Bazaar UK.
