Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin engaged? Magazine claims Hunger Games star 'eager to get pregnant'

Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin are allegedly engaged.

According to OK! magazine, Gwyneth Paltrow's estranged husband proposed to the 24-year-old Hunger Games star at the end of May at his Malibu mansion.

"The buzz in their inner circle is they're engaged," a source said. "And, on top of that, Jen is eager to get pregnant."

"They weren't doing anything out of the ordinary," the insider added. "They were just snuggling up by his pool after dinner, talking. She was making him laugh, like she always does, and he just looked at her and he knew. It just felt right."

Although the marriage proposal was "out of the blue", the Silver Linings Playbook actress "couldn't say yes quickly enough."

Lawrence was also "elated" when Martin responded "warmly" to the idea of welcoming children together.

"She's even been telling friends that she'd like a little girl," the insider said, adding Martin "is really excited about the idea of becoming a dad again."

Lawrence and Martin had started spending time together since June 2014, after she broke up with her on-off boyfriend and fellow actor Nicholas Hoult.

The two reportedly split in September, but were spotted together enjoying a dinner date at Kiwami Sushi in Studio City on New Year's Eve in 2014.

Last year, Lawrence opened up about what she is looking for in a partner, in the issue of the French magazine Madame Figaro.

"Someone who is capable of being consistent," she said in quotes obtained by the Daily Mail. "Otherwise, I might as well stay single!"
