Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard leave US: Jim Bob and Michelle bid them an emotional goodbye
Jill Duggar and husband Derick Dillard are headed on an overseas missionary project along with their son Israel. Though the two did not reveal their destination, the entire Duggar family -- well almost entire -- joined in to bid the missionaries an emotional goodbye.
Jim Bob, Michelle and the entire Duggar clan (sans Josh Duggar and family) were seen hugging and giving best wishes to Jill and Derick. The Duggars posted a video of the sendoff and captioned it: "We prayed and we cried but we are so pleased they have taken this step devoting themselves to serving Christ in this special way!"
In the video, everyone is seen hugging the 24-year-old reality TV star before her departure as Joy and Jenni, who were practically raised by her, sobbed inconsolably.
The Dillards, did not announce their destination, due to security reasons, but Inquisitr reports that the couple may be moving to El Dorado.
Jessa Duggar, who was also absent from the video, shared her excitement about her elder sister's new journey on her social media account. She wrote, "So excited for @jillmdillard & @derickdillard! They've been praying about and working towards this transition since late last year, and are so excited to finally be heading to the mission field!. Please continue to pray for them!"
Fox News suspects that the couple's announcement of the trip could mean that there are no hopes for the renewal of the reality TV show. Earlier, the Dillards were being considered for a possible 19 Kids and Counting spin-off, but the Josh Duggar sex scandal expose shattered the possibilities.
However, TLC is yet to make an official announcement whether it has cancelled the show or renewed it.
