Justice League: Ben Affleck confirms appearance at San Diego Comic-Con
DC Entertainment is planning to rule San Diego Comic-Con this July. After Warner Bros confirmed the Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman panel at SDCC this year, Ben Affleck has seemingly assured fans that he will also be attending the event.
Affleck took a break from filming Justice League to return home to Los Angeles to celebrate Father's Day with his kids: Violet, 10, Seraphina, 7, and Samuel, 4. According to a report in Batman News, the actor signed some autographs and replied to fan queries about his upcoming movie while arriving at the LA airport. A fan asked:"Will you be at Comic-Con, sir?" To which the Batman actor replied: "Yeah, we'll be there."
This possibly hints at a Justice League panel, featuring Affleck, at 2016's SDCC. The first poster featuring all the superheroes could also debut at the event.
Previously, Warner Bros announced a "Wonder Woman 75" panel at San Diego Comic-Con International to celebrate the history and future of the superhero. The event will feature displays of Lynda Carter's original costume from the 1970s television series and numerous additional costumes, including the one worn by Gal Gadot in the upcoming movie.
DC Entertainment has also teased that Suicide Squad will have a "major presence" at SDCC. The studio launched a fan contest called Squad Up, which will award 11 cosplayers with an all-expenses-paid trip to the Comic-Con.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Suicide Squad cast will make an appearance at the DC Entertainment booth on the convention floor to sign for fans, and will also take part in a special taping of Conan O'Brien's TBS show on 23 July to be broadcast later that evening.
San Diego Comic-Con will take place from 21 to 24 July 2016. Suicide Squad opens in theatres on 5 August 2016, followed by Wonder Woman on 2 June 2017 and Justice League on 17 November 2017.
