Kate Moss, FKA Twigs lead style stakes at Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty exhibition
The stars of the fashion world, stage, screen and even royalty put on a display of sartorial style and excess that Alexander McQueen would have been proud of.
Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Salma Hayek, Colin Firth, David and Victoria Beckham and Princess Beatrice upped the style stakes for the gala opening of the retrospective of the fashion designer's works titled Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty exhibition.
McQueen's muse Kate Moss took centre stage in the exhibition which features 3D holographic image of the supermodel in a white organza gown.
The 41-year-old made a characteristically striking entrance, arriving at the Victoria and Albert Museum for the launch party in a dramatic lace McQueen dress.
With a black bodysuit under the sheer lace outfit, the supermodel showed off her slender legs as she posed with her husband Jamie Hince.
Fellow British supermodels Naomi Campbell and Erin O'Connor also put on a show of sartorial style at the event in honour of the late designer. The 44-year-old donned a show-stopping dress which featured a sheer top with floral detailing and a ruffled black skirt.
Erin O'Connor played up to her androgynous image in a dramatic white gown with a plunging neckline.
And in all the glamour, there was a touch of royalty too as Princess Beatrice demonstrated her flair for fashion dressed in a black tuxedo gown slashed to the thigh.
The 26-year-old oozed old Hollywood glamour, accessorising the outfit with a sequinned butterfly hair-clip, a diamante bracelet and gold box clutch.
Hollywood was also represented with the arrival of Salma Hayek who wore a striking strapless gown with a black lace peacock detail and full ruffled skirt.
Meanwhile, Spice Girl turned fashion designer Victoria Beckham made a bold style statement in a cleavage-baring strapless black gown.
The dress featured a floral ruffle embellishment on the flowing skirt and triangular cut-out detailing. She matched the look with dramatic eye make up as she made her entrance with husband David.
The always fashion forward former footballer also displayed a full beard in keeping with the current trend.
But it was singer FKA Twigs who fully channelled the spirit of McQueen in an eclectic feathered outfit
The exhibition marks the first and largest retrospective of the late designer's work comprising 244 of the brand's garments.
The highly-anticipated show has already broken box-office records due to the high demand for tickets.
