Country singer Blake Shelton will host the Kid's Choice Awards 2016 Nickelodeon

The 29th Annual Kids' Choice Awards by Nickelodeon will be held at The Forum in Inglewood California. The event will be hosted by popular country singer Blake Shelton and will honour movies, TV, books, music, and video games in 22 different categories.

"I've been on countless stages throughout my life, but none have promised the madness, excitement and endless slime as Nick's Kids' Choice Awards, which is undoubtedly the ultimate party for kids. There is only one team here, and it's Team Kids' Choice so bring it on Nickelodeon!" Shelton said in a statement.

Wiz Khalifa with Charlie Puth, Joe Jonas' new band DNCE, and Silento will perform at the popular event that asks children to choose the winners via voting. This year, Modern Family and The Big Bang Theory top the nominations list in the TV categories with four nominations each.

The Kid's Choice Award will be telecast live on Nick at 8pm EST right after the airing of Spongebob Squarepants. In case you miss the event during its airtime, click here to watch it live online on Nick's official website
