New Cyanogen OS 12 software update now seeding to YU Yuphoria before CM OS 12.1 release
After it was made official that Micromax YU Yuphoria smartphones will officially be seeded the much expected CyanogenMod 12.1 OS update based on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) soon, an incremental Cyanogen OS 12.0 update is now live for Yuphoria users across the globe.
Announcing the latest software update, via an official blog post, Rahul Doiphode (Community Manager at YU Televentures) states that Yuphoria users can check out for the latest update bearing software version number YNG1TBS2P2.
The latest update is based on the comparatively older Android 5.0.2 and owners of Yuphoria should get to see the new software via automatic over-the-air (OTA) notifications in the form of a 38MB (approximate) size file.
What's new with the latest update to CyanogenMod 12 OS software?
As per YU, Yuphoria users post installing the latest update can check out for an improved camera experience in the form of sharper images and better low light photography.
The performance of the proximity sensor is also said to have been improved by incorporating patches that auto-calibrate on every instance of a phone reboot.
Users should also experience faster typing and enhanced gesture control offered by the smartphone after installing the latest update to CM 12 OS.
Finally, after installing the new update, YU Yuphoria users can notice a better phone dialler which is now said to incorporate better thermal management technology and controls.
YU states that the above update is being rolled out gradually, hence it should take some time before the new software update reaches all Yuphoria users.
Apart from Yuphoria, a new software update for users of the older YU Yureka smartphones is also said to be in the works and is expected to be released soon.
Hence, users of both YU Yuphoria and YU Yureka can check their smartphones for new OTA notifications and download/install the above software update.
