OnePlus 3: Specs leaks suggest metal body, AMOLED screen and 3000 mAh battery capacity
A new promo image leak of the unreleased OnePlus 3 shows off a full metal body of the device and suggests the phone will have an AMOLED display and a battery capacity with 3000 mAh. The device which is rumoured to launch as early as May or June will be the Chinese manufacturer's fourth smartphone release.
Noted tipster Evan Blass has revealed the image of the upcoming flagship which bears a striking resemblance to the recently released HTC as pointed out by many on Twitter as well. OnePlus has always been known to be innovative with its back panels starting with wood, sandstone, ceramic etc but it seems this time the Oneplus 3 may be an all-metal model.
AMOLED display is what had been hinted at for quite a while now. A toggle switch on the left side can be seen along with the volume keys and the power button can be seen located on the right.
The OnePlus 3 is slated to come in two models with different RAM and internal storage capacities. While the base model is expected to pack a 4GB RAM with a 32GB internal memory slot, the high-end model will pack a 6GB RAM with 64GB of internal memory.
Both models will feature a 5.5-inch 1080p display panel which will be powered by a Snapdragon 820 chipset, a 16MP camera on the rear side and an 8MP front shooter. Both devices are expected to run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based Hydrogen OS 2.0 for the Chinese market and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based Oxygen OS 3.0 for rest of the regions. While the price of the high-end 64GB model is rumoured to be around CN¥2499 ($384, £266), the base model could be priced at around $314.
