OxygenOS 2.1.4 rolling out to OnePlus One
For those who feels their older OnePlus One flagship model is not getting fair amount of attention from its manufacturer, you could be wrong about it. The company is working continuously to keep the device updated with the latest software.
A new version of OxygenOS firmware, v2.1.4, is now making its way through the phones. This update offers a "clean and unburdened" user experience. But it removes MaxxAudio's sound technology and other relevant applications, and the manual camera mode and RAW file format. And although there is no fingerprint support and screen temperature slider either, the new firmware brings a fully optimised version of OxygenOS.
You would be able to benefit from the new features of OxygenOS 2.1.4, including dark mode that allows you choosing colour theme you want. Besides, there are custom icon packs. You can also take advantage from the App Permission feature that gives you complete control over each app. Other notable changes are double-tap to wake and gestures.
The update is not available via OTA, which means you will have to manually install the firmware. All you need to do is download the appropriate file for your phone. But do not forget to create a backup of all you data, as the process will wipe out everything. Do not try to flash this version through TWRP recovery, as you might lose the radio and IMEI. Check out the following guide to perform a manual installation.
