Pretty Little Liars season 6
PLL's show creator has been teasing the twin theory since last season Freeform

Fans of Pretty Little Liars season 6 can finally wait for some cliffhanger moments in the show as the "A has a twin" theory is back. What is more interesting is that the theory has been confirmed by show creator Marlene King. Since the midseason premiere, nothing major has happened apart from Charlotte aka A's murder and the liars with their usual secrets.

While answering a fan's question, King announced that there is a twin and he/she will soon appear in the series."There is a twin. You will meet this person soon. Within a few episodes."

The major reveal by the show creator has brought new life to the show. As of now, fans know that Aria, Spencer, Emily and Hanna have started getting anonymous messages from someone who is threatening to reveal the secrets they have been concealing for the last five years.

Speculations are high that the twin character may have a deep link with the DiLaurentis family and the mysterious "twin" may be a twin of A aka Charlore aka Charles. He or she may also be a twin of the other DiLaurentis children, including Alison and her brother Jason. King has already ruled out introducing Courtney, Alison's twin in the book written by Sara Shepard.

In 2015, King had hinted about introducing the twin theory and that Uber A is related to one of the liars. "There is a reason why we keep dropping these not-so-subtle clues about the twins, so I would say wait for it. Wait for it. You're not going to see Courtney, but you may see double of someone," she told ET.

It will be interesting to see how King reintroduces the twin theory in PLL season 6 and gives it an original twist to make the Freeform series a great thriller in the upcoming episodes.

Pretty Little Liars season 6 airs every Tuesday on Freeform, previously known as ABC Family.
