The sixth edition of the ICC World T20 tournament gets into full swing with India taking on New Zealand in the Super 10 stage in Nagpur on 15 March.
With an array of explosive batting talent and quality spinners, the hosts are firm favourites to lift their second World T20 crown to add to their 2011 ODI World Cup win. M S Dhoni's side are priced at 9/4 with Betfair to take home the title on 3 April.
England, led by Eoin Morgan, have named a relatively inexperienced squad for the tournament, with the likes of Stuart Broad and Chris Woakes left out.
Only five of the 16 players in Morgan's squad have ever been involved in an international cricket match in India before. This makes them fourth-favourites to win the tournament at 8/1 behind India, Australia and South Africa.
Winner (Betfair)
- India: 9/4
- Australia: 5/1
- South Africa: 11/2
- England: 8/1
- New Zealand: 13/1
Explosive India opener Rohit Sharma is tipped to be the leading run scorer in the tournament at 5/1, while Virat Kohli, who averages a whopping 52.61 in T20 internationals, is excellent value to top the run charts at 8/1.
Top run scorer (Betfair)
- Rohit Sharma (India): 5/1
- Virat Kohli (India): 8/1
- AB de Villiers (South Africa): 11/1
It's wise to back a spinner to be the top wicket-taker in India's spinning tracks, with the host nation's Ravichandran Ashwin the favourite at 19/2.
Top wicket taker (Betfair)
- Ravichandran Ashwin (India): 19/2
- Imran Tahir (South Africa): 11/1
- Ravindra Jadeja (India): 11/1
At 5/1, India-South Africa is the most favoured match-up in the final at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on 3 April.
