It looks like Nick Cannon has also found happiness again following his split from Mariah Carey. According to Page Six, the America's Got Talent host and TLC's Rozonda 'Chilli' Thomas are getting close. The longtime friends have reignited rumours that they are an item after she was snapped braiding his hair backstage. For some fans, the "intimate gesture" was proof that they are an item.
The pair sent tongues wagging after reportedly being spotted kissing at WDKX's Summerfest concert in Rochester, New York. It was previously claimed that he had already introduced the 45-year-old singer to his close friends and family. "They've been seeing each other for about two months," an insider told Page Six. "She really likes him and they're spending a lot of time together. She's beaming all the time. She's met his friends and family. Everyone approves."
Cannon and Carey, who have two children together, confirmed their split in August 2014, revealing they were living apart. Weeks later, Cannon replaced his enormous 'Mariah' tattoo with a giant Jesus inking. He filed for divorce in December of that year.
Back in July, he skated around questions about the nature of their relationship, saying that she would be the best person to address the dating rumours. "She's an outstanding and amazing woman," Cannon told Entertainment Tonight. "I've known her for so, so many years and, you know, we've been friends."
Thomas rose to worldwide fame as one third of r'n'b girl group TLC in the early 1990s with hits including Waterfalls, No Scrubs and Unpretty. She famously dated music producer Dallas Austin, with who she has as son, and Usher.
Although Cannon and Carey are yet to finalise their divorce, Carey is preparing to walk down the aisle for the second time with Australian billionaire James Packer. The couple got engaged in January, after having dated for less than a year.
